¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale!

¡Ándale! is Tigerbeat6’s new weekly/monthly mp3 and podcast series, dedicated to dropping fresh new songs as fast as possible by old friends and new faces alike. Each week, a new track will be uploaded on Tigerbeat6’s Soundcloud page, which can be downloaded for free until it is taken down and exchanged for the next free track. At the end of the month, all four tracks will be available for sale at all good digital shops, or you can get the whole release (as well as the occasional extra like this month’s amazing cover of Chaos A.D.’s “Mind War Electro” by Exillon) sequenced together as a free subscribable podcast.

On ¡Ándale! Vol. 1 Kid606 delivers the massive 150 bpm mutant-bass stomper of a track “Daylight Bangin’,” as Cardopusher is rolling out deep Bass and House vibes with “Morning Attempts.” Wascal is representing Bristol with the funky and heavy original 2-step of “Set Up”, while Luke’s Anger mixes the wonk and the wobble for the four on the floor laid-back techno bumper “Warble Tone.”

If you have a track you think would work for an upcoming ¡Ándale! release, email a link (no mp3 attachments, they’ll just get filtered out) with ¡Andale! in the subject line… or BETTER YET send use the track via our soundcloud page and include ¡Ándale! in the message…

Tracklist:
1. Kid606 – Daylight Bangin’
2. Cardopusher – Morning Attempts
3. Wascal – Set Up
4. Luke’s Anger – Warble Tone
5. Exillon – Mind War Electro

New Randy Twigg full length out now!!!

Artist: Randy Twigg
Album Title: Undone
Catalogue Number: meow154
Label: Tigerbeat6
Format: digital only

We are super excited to release our newest full length album by Berlin Superstar Randy Twigg. If you haven’t heard her or seen her videos, go check them out on her Myspace page.

The album features 10 original anthemic songs, along with three bonus remixes from Khan, GD Luxxe, and Kid606. Stay tuned for two massive remix releases for this album, one on Tigerbass featuring Dolby Anol, Kidz On Acid, Genuine Guy and Hakan Lidbo, and another one on Tigerbeat6 featuring Hawnay Troof, Plateau Repas, Electronicat, MT. Sims, Magnum 38, Blattcouture, and many more.

THE FULL STORY ON THE ALBUM:

Deep in the bowels of Europe, well past the architecture and schnitzel hauses, past the sweating line-ups roped away from already packed clubs, past the throbbing mass on the dancefloor itself, deep in the hot flashes of stages across Europe and Canada, slamming her beats, strapped into her bass, playing every note like her last, this is where you will find Randy Twigg.

Her new album Undone is a feverish blend of influences extending back to her rock and punk roots in Canada as the driving force behind Toronto’s infamous Fuck Puppets (BugEyed Records), followed by a relocation to Berlin where she has played and collaborated with the likes of Mt. Sims (Hungry Eye, Gigolo Records), Kid Congo Powers (The Gun Club, The Cramps), Toby Dammit (Iggy Pop, Jessie Evans), Stereo Total, T. Raumschmiere, and where our girl has been fanning her fire with guitars, beats, electronics and the asses of the masses.

Undone is a bold, catchy, lyric-driven collision of pop consciousness and dancefloor balls served hot with plenty of molton rock and analogue bubbles to keep things niiiiice and slippery. And it’s loud as fuck.

Slapping us with monster beat and synth combos while her signature distorted bass guitar sound ties us up and cuts the phone lines. Randy lays it out and you take it, big fella. She sticks that round sound right where we want it, over acoustic drums (performed by Berlin born and thoroughbred, André Lange) and screaming bass. Looking For Love In A Crime Scene Photograph cannot be for the fragile, can it?

Randy seduces us effortlessly with the smash club hit Centerfold, crammed with fat bass and dry beats sprayed with synth recalls of all those crashy house plates from Chicago.

Randy stays crunchy in milk! (Message from Randy: Love yourself. Use a condom.). Power driver tracks like 3 Parrots and Suitcase mash rock ‘n’ roll with electro using big ass bass, drums and analogue synths to stab out the alarm.

All tracks share the same propulsive, Punk sensibility with Randy waxing overtop revealing that busy brain of hers as it makes its way ’round and through this complex and less than fresh world. She lights you a candle, maybe makes you coffee if you’re polite and not some scenester asshole looking for a girlfriend, tells you about courage and then kicks your ass with war drum beasts, catchy choruses, and bold lyrics telling big, bad stories. Randy makes a case for rocking out even when you feel like murdering everyone in a world gone beige with boredom. Randy knows, bro.

To be brief, Randy Twigg’s Undone is a noisy mother of a gun with ten freshly craze-tipped bullets aimed right at your pendulous ass. Get it and when you’re done doing that… see Randy live.

New TBASS Releases in September!

Artist: C.L.A.W.S.
Album Title: I’ve Got Problems EP
Catalogue Number: tbass23
Label: Tigerbass
Format: digital only

C.L.A.W.S. is the solo project of Brian D. Hock, who is also the drummer from San Francico synth psych band Bronze and one half of the after-hours techno project War vs. Sleep (Bar 25, Rekids). C.L.A.W.S. was born in Berlin after Hock split with his band the Vanishing and began djing in the city’s legendary techno and house circuit. After moving back to San Francisco in 2006, C.L.A.W.S. released the breakthrough C.L.A.W.S. theme EP, the third release on Kid606′s Tigerbass label, which included remixes from Curses! (Drop The Lime, Institubes) and Passions (Kitsune, Mathhead). Furthermore, it was licensed to The Bang Gang Deejays D is for Disco, E is for Dancing mix album on Australia’s Modular records.

After the following Mmm…Sandwiches! EP and remixes for Health, Tussle, The Emergency, Lemonade and Jessie Evans, C.L.A.W.S. became more influenced by his frequent trips to Berlin and started to put his own twist on the spacey minimal techno sound which comes to the forefront on these tracks. On the horizon are several new EP’s, a new live set, and C.L.A.W.S. is still producing some of the best underground dance parties in San Francisco such as Gentlemans Techno and O.K. Hole.

Artist: Magnum 38
Album Title: A Tribute To Grace Jones
Catalog Number: tbass22
Label: Tigerbass
Format: digital only

Magnum 38, (one of Musick/Shitkatapult’s finest producers) delivers the goods with this inspired tribute to the living legend Grace Jones. These six tracks are neither typical “remixes” nor conventional cover versions in any sense; instead, they take excerpts and motifs of Grace Jones’ songs as an inspiration for something completely new, produced from scratch, but true to the spirit of Grace Jones’ work. The three driving club tracks about Love and Pain Slave, Devil, and Suffer will get your body moving while the three abstract and jazzy plunderphonic interludes (Sequel 1, 2, 3) give you a chance to recover. Expect a sound that manages to blend the likes of Jackson and His Computer Band, Prefuse 73, Para One, and Akufen with Magnum’s trademark fuzzy bass sounds and banging electro beats.

New Sickboy and Kid606 releases coming up soon!

Artist: Sickboy
Album Title: Tempor Mentalist
Catalogue Number: meow151
Label: Tigerbeat6
Format: digital only

In a galaxy far far away, lies a planet called Milkplus. Its most known inhabitant is the 245 year youngster Sickboy Milkplus, who came to this earth by accident, loosing control of his space-cruiser and crashing on a rooftop. This crash and burn supposedly happened right where the Tigerbeat6 family was living and they decided to adopt this “Sickboy” to prepare him for special musical missions. From mash-ups, to breakcore and ambient, Sickboy is stepping through time, and walks these musical fields like a trained soldier. But this time, TB6 has prepared him for one of his most secretive missions of all-time, resulting in a rough sounding electro-bass EP named the Tempor Mentalist. This 4 track EP sees the relation between Sickboy & Tigerbeat6 in a new daylight, bringing forward a new formula that Sickboy has been applying to his sound. Crafting heavy basslines, this is probably the most DJ-friendly release Sickboy will ever do. So this one is for all of you unearthly DJ’s, that know when to push that special button in order to loose self-control on the dance floor. Yup, it’s been tested and approved by N.A.S.A. in its secret party lab. It’s pretty safe. Still, they gave the warning to the public “WARNING: May result in tempor mentalist behaviour.”
