Dolby Anol - Sandy Bitches EP

Dolby Anol is a production duo based in Berlin and Glasgow. It consists of Graham Peel and Danananakroyd drummer/singer John Bailie Jnr. After releasing 2 huge singles on Backyard 'Puppies' and 'Tender Touch' they return to their original and very welcome home of Tigerbass.

Since the release of Tender Touch, they have built anticipation for their new record via a series of highly original remixes for the likes of Frankmusik, La Roux and the Hidden Cameras to name a few. Now the wait is over, and amazing new EP 'Sandy Bitches' is here. This is Dolby Anol's 2nd EP on Tigerbass after the hugely popular "Dolby and Gabanna" and for this they have stripped down dance music to its most basic elements.

Full of the vibrant originality that initially got the whole dance world interested in them in the first place, each track is an exercise in simplicity with one synth and one drum kit, but does not suffer sonically for this. In fact it may well be their loudest release yet! Buzzing bass lines teetering in and out of sparse melody, combine with ridiculous breakdowns, there only to further enhance the payoff that follows.

Already these songs have been championed by the select few that managed to wrestle an early copy from the Glasgow duo and have been sending dance floors into a frenzy across the world. This E.P. is not easily categorized or compared to other tracks or artists sound, instead it takes pride in its stark individuality and reaction to the norm. Dolby Anol are a duo committed to trying something different and if "Sandy bitches" is the outcome of that modus operandi then we at Tigerbass aren't complaining!
