PJ POOTERHOOTS - Miami Swipe EP
PJ Pooterhoots is the solo project of San Francisco based synth commander Craig Drake. For this latest endeavor on Tigerbass records, PJ takes the 808 to the beach under the warm Florida sun, resulting in his latest EP titled “Miami Swipe”. Choc-O-block filled with the signature PJ rippidy sounds, Jan Hammer inspired sultry synth licks, and 2 live crew Miami Bass beats, this EP speeds up the shoreline current to bring you an electro dance floor melter!
Having busted his chops in Detroit with releases on Richie Hawtin & John Acquaviva’s Definitive label (under the name “Cantina”), PJ Pooterhoots went on to release the Seminal “Barf, Lieb Meine EP” and “No Go” 12"s on his cousin Safety Scissors Proptronix records. The incomparable fast edit electro on these ep's turned many heads and tracks were licensed to trendsetting dj mix CD's all over the world like Australia's The Bang Gang DJs "D Is For Disco, E Is For Dancing" on Modular records, Scotland's Optimo DJ's "How To Kill The DJ [Part Two]" on Tigersushi, and James F!@#$%^ Friedman's "Go Commando" on Defend music. Make no mistake that Pooterhoots tracks are the true unsaturated, unhyped, and uncompromised sounds of an ideal tomorrow. Now proudly teaming up with Tigerbass, the future promises to spray out an exciting evolution in the continuing PJ saga.
